WHAT A SEASON!

As the season comes to an end and the sun sets on another great season of Sauble Speedway racing it means we have one final race report to get through as we cover Saturday's races presented by 97.9 The Bruce. We also will cover the Boss of the Beach as we crowned our champions for the 2022 season.


Saturday show was presented by 97.9 The Bruce. The nights action featuring Can-Am Midgets, Combined 4's, Roote's Gas Bar United 8's and Championship night for the Jr. Late Models.

First up for the night was the Jr. Late Models. Heat one saw the #7 of Laila Walser pick up the first win of night. Second heat of the night went to the #6 of Tyler Gilland. The final race of the Jr. Late Model season came to a conclusion with the #6x of Will Quarrie out duelling the #7 of Laila Walser at the line. The #88 of Ryder White rounded out the podium.



The Jr. Late Model Championship went to the #88 of Ryder White. Second in points went to the #51 Cole Kamarath and the #23 Brandon MaGee rounding out the top 3 in points.




Next up for the nights action was the Roote's Gas Bar United 8's. The winner of the the nights feature race would sit on the pole for Sunday's Boss of the Beach. Heat one saw the #8 of Jason Parker picking up the win. Heat two it was the #1 of Kayden Wright grabbing the win. 30 laps the distance for the United 8's and it was the #8 of Jason Parker picking up the feature win and starting pole on for the Boss of the Beach. #1 Kayden Wright and the #26 of Dave McMahon would finish second and third.

The nights action continued with the Combined 4's. Heat one it was the #92 of Kyle Neumeister. Heat two it was the #08F of Pat Farrow collecting the heat win. 16 cars took to the track for the 40 lap feature with the winner taking home $1,000 and the pole for the Boss of the Beach. After the 40 laps it was the #92 of Kyle Neumeister collecting the feature win. #71 Gary Jones and the #63 of Cole Burrows round out the podium.


To conclude the night it was the Can-Am Midgets taking the track. Heat one saw the #42 of Daniel Hawn work his way for the heat win. Heat two the #55 of Cory Whittam picked up the heat win. Heat three the #42 of Daniel Hawn would sweep his heats for the night. In heat four the #55 of Cory Whittam would capture the win in the final heat race of the night.



Next up for the Midgets was the Dash for Cash. four cars, six laps. When the dust settled the #55 of Cory Whittam would grab the dash for cash. David Miller (#11) and James Stanley (#57) rounded out the podium. The nights action concluded with the 25 lap feature. When the checkered flag flew it was the #7 of Jeff Blackburn making his way to victory lane. Daniel Hawn (#42) and Cory Whittam (#55) would step onto the podium with Jegg.




Next up. The Boss of the Beach. To cap off the 2022 season of course have to crown the Boss of the Beach. Sunday's action featured the Can-Am Midgets, Combined 4's, the Roote's Gas Bar United 8's and to cap off the season a demolition derby.

The first division up for the night would be the Can-Am Midgets. Heat one saw the #72 of Junior Farley would capture the first heat win of the night. Heat two sees the #55 of Cory Whittam picking up the heat win. The Can-Am Midgets would run their final race of the 2022 season at Sauble Speedway with a 25 lap feature race. The #57 of James Stanley would pick up the feature win with Cory Whittam (#55) and Junior Farley (#72) would round out the podium.

Next up for their final race of the 2022 season was the Combined 4's. Heat one we saw the #08E of Cole Ecker pick up the win. Heat two the #63 of Cole Burrows rolled his way into victory lane. In heat three the #46X of Wayde Thorne would work his way to victory lane. Heat four the #47 of Thomas Wunch would grab the final heat race of the night and season for the combined 4's. It was time for the big event. 50 laps with $1,300 going to the winner. When the checkered flag flew it was the #46X of Wayde Thorne who would capture the checkered flag and crowned the Boss of the Beach for the 2022 season. Thomas Wunch (#47 and Isac Dippel (#18) would round out the podium.




The Combined 4's Championship was presented to Wayde Thorne. Second in points would go to the #518 of Steve Heard. Third in points the #08F of Pat Farrow.






The final race of the 2022 season would be the Roote's Gas Bar United 8's 75 lapper to be crowned the Boss of the Beach for the 2022 season. Heat one we saw the #8 of Jason Parker grab the win. Heat two the #16 of Zack Casemore would park it in victory lane. In heat three we would see the #1S of Tyler Sagan grab the heat win. The final heat race for the United 8's would go to the #81 of Andrew Gresel. The field was set for the final race of the 2022 season. When the dust settled and the 75 laps was run it was the #8 of Jason Parker who would reach the checkered flag first and be crowned the Boss of the Beach 2022. Matt Johnston (#11) and Mike Ford (#63) would round out the podium.



The 2022 Roote's Gas Bar United 8 Champion is the #1 of Kayden Wright. Second in points goes to the #57 of Austin Findlay. Third in points is the #18 of Nick Hamell.
