Steckly wins APC Late Models, Rain Wins Sunday.

Unfortunately it has been that kind of year with rain pouring down across the province It has out a bit of a damper on the season not knowing what mother nature holds for us each race day. With this weekends Civic Holiday long weekend only completing one of the two nights it was a tough go at the speedway forcing management to pull the plug on Sunday's racing shortly after it got started.

Let's get into breaking down Saturday with the United Racing Series APC Late Models as they roared to the beach for their first of two stops at the 1/4 mile track this season. Joining the Late Models was the Can-Am Midgets and the Great Lakes Legend Car Series.

For the Qwick Wick Fire Starter Can-Am Midgets Presented by Miller Office Trailers Cory Whittam (#55) and Andrew Whelan (#5) would take home the heat wins. Come feature time Daniel Hawn (#42) would hold off Cory Whittam #55) and Dominique Smith (#49) to win the 25 lap feature race.

Next up was the Great Lakes Legend Series. Parker Traves (#60), Jade Franklin (#31) and Mitchel Wright (#21) took home the heat wins on the night. The feature was set and it was the Parker Traves parking it in victory lane with Jade Franklin (#31) and the Jordan Latimer (#90) rounding out the podium for the second feature of the night.

The final race of the night would go to the APC Late Models. During qualifying it was the #17 of Josh Stade setting quick time with a 14.362. Jo Lawrence (#78) and Kyle Steckly (#22). After the redraw we would see Jr Farrlley (#72) and Blair Wickett (#97) lead the field for 150 laps. After a couple of lengthy red flags would ultimately lead to the race being shortened by 8 laps it was the #22 of Kyle Steckly grabbing the victory with J.R Fitzpatrick (#84) and Andrew Gresel (#81) joining Steckly on the podium.
